What Our Parents Have Said...

 March 25, 2010

My husband & I must have toured 10 facilities before we toured AMA. Once we finished the tour we knew this was the place for our son. The staff has been tremendous in the development & growth of our son. The facility is very clean, orderly and presentable at all times. The one-on-one attention that is given to our son is unprecedented. Knowing that our son is well taken care of is the most refreshing thing we can ask for as a parent. The detail to attention during his "potty training" time has been fantastic in his development & independence. As well as the constant communication between staff & parents. The webcam is also a great tool that allows us to check in on our son's daily activity via the computer. Now that our 2nd child has arrived we only wish that AMA provided infant care! We plan on keeping our son here until he begins 1st grade.

"Thank you Diane, we are very happy at Amerimont. I can't say enough about it. Gil and I are telling everyone we know about what a great school you have.  It was so great last night when Mikayla arrived home, she was so excited that she learned sign language that we are going to get a book so Gil and I can learn it too so we know what she is saying. Thank you for showing Gil some of the signs yesterday when he picked her up, we would have been lost!  I think it is only a matter of time before Mikayla is teaching us new things......she has taught us so much already and taking her to Amerimont has brought the life back to our little girl. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This gift is priceless to us. We have our curious, happy and excited to learn little girl back, we can't thank you enough for that!  See you this afternoon."

“In March 2007, I was faced with the dilemma of my youngest son starting kindergarten. I thought my decision was simple as I teach in public education and already had another son in public school. I attended the orientation meeting at AMA and while the program sounded wonderful and engaging, I decided to send my son to public school. After two weeks of public school, I pulled my son out and placed him in AMA. My decision to switch to private kindergarten was accelerated due to several incidents that happened in the public school regarding my son. Also, kindergarten in the public school was only half day and the ratio of students to teacher was 30:1. The nurturing environment and small class size of Montessori has been fantastic for my son and he has learned a tremendous amount in a small amount of time. He is learning about presidents and the continents along with regular kindergarten skills and is having the time of his life. I would recommend AMA to anyone looking to place their children in kindergarten because the first years are critical to future success in school. This school has qualified, knowledgeable and nurturing teachers who will take the time to work with students and work with them at their level. My only regret is that I cannot keep my son here for 1st grade.”

“I am a parent of two small children that attend AMA and a school psychologist at a middle school with approximately 1,800 students. My experience has taught me that while children need the constant love and support of their families, they greatly benefit from other resources as well. AMA is an exceptional resource to enhance your child’s early academic and social/emotional development. It offers a safe and loving environment that promotes active learning through hands on and guided experience, personal attention, and exposure to enrichment programs. My husband and I consider AMA a “five star” school. Our partnership with AMA is helping us establish a positive academic and social/emotional foundation that will prepare our two children for school and most importantly, life”

"...I am so impressed with how much progress he has made in his social and academic skills.  His time at school has been the highlight of his year."

"I wanted to write you during the Teacher Appreciation week to let you know how much you and the teachers of AMA mean to us.  We had looked without success for an appropriate preschool and day care for him and were quite discouraged when I happened upon the school while I was driving.  When I stepped into the school and took a tour, I knew viscerally that this was a place I would feel good about sending my son.  Noah has absolutely thrived over the years, and really looks forward to going to school.  Yesterday, when I asked him about his day he commented to me that "everything about the school was great, Mom".  There is nothing more a mother wants for her child than to be happy when she can't be with him.  Ms. Eloisa nurtured Noah when he first started at the school in diapers and potty trained him.  She made him feel loved and secure and eventually got him over his anxiety about Mommy leaving him at school.  Ms. Joy, Ms. Norma and Ms. Isabelle taught him the foundations necessary to be able to enter the kindergarten class.  Ms. Tamera and Ms. Angelica really got him excited about learning!  He was so excited about American history that he and I took a trip to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia during spring break this year.  We had a blast, and saw first hand all the monuments, and buildings he had only seen in pictures in class.  It was a bit surreal talking about such things with a 5 year old, but so rewarding to see someone so excited about learning.  Noah will be moving on to the Fairmont school for first grade.  When we went in for the assessment, I was nervous.  We had never been through anything like that before.  10 minutes before the 20 minute assessment time was up, the counselors brought Noah out and stated that he was fully ready to start first grade, and was impressed by his knowledge of history as much as his reading and math.  You have been an integral part of our family for the last 4 years and will be greatly missed.  Thank you so much for the work that you do, and the love and care you put into it.  God bless you as you continue your great work."
