Our greatest gift of living in the United States of America is our right to freedom. The Pledge of Allegiance states: “One nation, under God.” Freedom has granted us the right to choose a religion based on our individual beliefs. AmeriMont Academy respects the diversity in religions and takes a non-denominational approach to saying grace before lunch. We believe in the Christian philosophies and virtues of compassion, faithfulness, generosity, kindness, honesty and trustworthiness. AmeriMont Academy wishes to instill the importance of being a good person, but we have no affiliations with a church. We encourage families to familiarize the children with their own beliefs, customs and ceremonies.
At lunchtime, the following grace is said:
God is good. God is great. Let us thank Him for our food.
Oh the Lord is good to us, so we thank the Lord. For giving us, the things we need: the sun and the rain and the apple seeds, so God is good to us!
